All Americans should hope Congressional efforts succeeds before the end of the year — because cutting physician pay means cutting patient care.
Doctors in private practice could soon be ringing in the new year by reducing
the services they offer, laying off staff, or even preparing to close their
practices.
That’s because the federal government is set to slash the reimbursements they receive
from Medicare come January. The proposed cuts would have devastating
consequences for ordinary Americans’ ability to access health care — unless Congress
steps in to stop them.
