(San Francisco) The Pacific Research Institute (PRI), a nationally recognized free-market think tank located in San Francisco, has named Christine Hughes as its new Vice President. Ms. Hughes had formerly served on the Board of Directors at the Pacific Research Institute from 2005-2011 as a member of the Executive Committee and Vice Chair of the Development Committee.
As Development Chair, Ms. Hughes provided development support for PRI’s annual signature gala, fundraising, and developed strategies for greater outreach. Prior to Pacific Research Institute, Ms. Hughes worked in both international and domestic marketing for corporations including World Expo, Xerox, Novell, Inc. and Secure Computing Corporation. She also served as Trustee and Consultant for numerous non-profit entities. As Vice President, Ms. Hughes will further advocate the advancement of PRI’s ideas and policy positions through donor cultivation, fundraising, and events. Christine Hughes recently relocated back to San Francisco, her hometown. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the San Francisco College for Women. Pacific Research Institute’s mission is to advance free market policy principles in the areas of business & economics, education, health care and the environment.
