About Andrew Stuttaford

Andrew Stuttaford has been writing for National Review since the early 1990s. He took up full-time positions with National Review and National Review Institute in March 2020 and since then has been the editor of National Review Capital Matters (NRCM), an initiative focused on financial and economic coverage. Andrew and other writers for NRCM focus on the importance of free markets, and Andrew has frequently written on electric vehicles as a problematic example of central planning at work.

Prior to joining National Review and National Review Institute, Andrew, who qualified as an attorney in the U.K., worked in the international financial markets for nearly four decades, latterly as the CEO of the U.S. subsidiary of a Nordic investment bank. Andrew has written for a wide range of publications over the years including The Wall Street Journal, The New Criterion, The Weekly Standard, and Standpoint on political, economic, and cultural matters.
