Intelligence Squared U.S. Moves to Rockefeller University to Accommodate Sold Out Audiences

NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwire – June 16, 2008) – Intelligence Squared U.S., the Oxford style debate series sponsored by The Rosenkranz Foundation, today announced that its third year of sold out public debates will move to Rockefeller University’s Caspary Auditorium beginning with the fall season in September 2008.

Debate topics for the fall season will be “Universal health coverage should be the federal government’s responsibility,” “America is finally winning the war in Iraq,” “Guns Reduce Crime,” “Google violates its ‘don’t be evil’ motto,” and “Bush 43 is the worst president of the last 50 years” and will be broadcast over 150 of National Public Radio stations nationwide.

The moderator for the fall debates will be John Donvan, correspondent for ABC News’ “Nightline.” Panelists will include Michael F. Cannon, Sally C. Pipes, John Stossel, Art Kellermann, Paul Krugman, Michael Rachlis, Frederick W. Kagan, General Jack Keane (Ret.), Simon Jenkins, Charles Ferguson, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, Jacob Weisberg, Gary Kleck, Wayne LaPierre, John J. Donohue, Paul Helmke, R. Gil Kerlikowske, John R. Lott, Harry Lewis, Randal C. Picker, Siva Vaidhyanathan, John Battelle, Esther Dyson, Jeff Jarvis, Simon Jenkins, Jacob Weisberg, William Kristol and Karl Rove.

IQ2 audience members vote for and against the motion before and after each debate, a hallmark of the Intelligence Squared program. The voting results and debate transcripts are made available to the public following the debate.
