Michiganians should expect to pay more for Thanksgiving dinner this year as labor shortages, inflation, and other supply-chain issues lead to increasing prices at the grocery store . . .
“Boring Uncle Joe is going to be talking about how much gas was and complaining about it, while Joe’s brother will be saying, ‘Let me tell you how much the turkey cost me,’” said Wayne Winegarden, senior fellow in business and economics at the Pacific Research Institute, a California-based free-market think tank. “It is going to be a topic of conversation because it’s impacting people’s lives.”
